Common questions

I tap the mic and hear nothing.
First check iOS Settings → SingVoicer → Microphone. Then look at the INPUT meter on the Stage: if it moves when you sing, audio is coming in and the problem is on the output side — make sure MON (monitor) is on and your headphones are selected under Settings → Output. If the meter stays dark, raise GAIN a little; double‑tap the knob to reset it to 0 dB.
The sound howls or whistles.
That's acoustic feedback: the speaker is feeding the mic. SingVoicer dims monitoring and shows a warning when the speaker is the output — put on headphones (wired is best) or turn MON off while recording.
I hear myself with a delay.
Bluetooth headphones add 100–200 ms, which feels late while singing. Wired headphones, a Lightning/USB‑C adapter or an audio interface bring latency down to a few milliseconds. The engine status at the bottom of Settings shows the current buffer.
My recording is quiet.
Recordings capture the signal after the effects but before the monitor volume, so turning MON down doesn't affect them. Set GAIN so the meter sits around two thirds while you sing and the CLIP light stays dark.
Where are my recordings?
In the library (the notes icon at the top of the Stage). Each take is a WAV file; use the ⋯ menu to rename, share or delete. Sharing uses the standard iOS share sheet, so you can send to Files, Messages, Mail, AirDrop and so on.
Can I use an external microphone?
Yes. Wired headsets, Lightning/USB‑C microphones and audio interfaces show up under Settings → Input. Pick one and the engine restarts on it, even mid‑session.
Is there an Android version?
Coming soon to Google Play.
